Transit Ridership Incentive Program
The FY 22 mid-cycle TRIP application period has now closed. The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) will vote on project recommendations at the December 8th CTB meeting.
DRPT will be accepting TRIP regional connectivity projects during the FY 23 grant cycle. The application will open December 1, 2021. This webpage will be updated with application details as they become available.
DRPT will not be accepting additional TRIP zero fare applications at this time.
Program Overview:
The Transit Ridership Incentive Program (TRIP) is a new statewide grant program dedicated to improving transit’s regional connectivity in urban areas with a population in excess of 100,000 and reducing barriers to transit use by supporting low income and zero fare programming. The TRIP program was created by the passing of House Bill 1414 in the 2020 General Assembly session.
