Program Measurement
One of the means by which the effectiveness of the Commonwealth’s transportation demand management (TDM)/Commuter Programs are measured is through a Placement Rate Survey conducted by DRPT. The Placement Rate Survey results show the percentage of customers that switch to higher occupancy modes of travel (e.g., transit, vanpool, carpool) as a result of the assistance provided by the TDM/Commuter Program. That switch is called a “placement.” In addition to commute changes, the results show the average commute characteristics and satisfaction with the TDM/Commuter Program. DRPT is in the process of conducting the Placement Rate Survey for 2018. This report should be posted shortly.
